SLAMpeg 2538: Renee Michelle vs Vanessa Kraven

Making her debut, Renee gets to continue the tradition of picking the name of her opponent. The name she selects – Vanessa Kraven. And Vanessa wants a Best of 5 falls match-up.

Renee does a nice job using her speed to avoid Vanessa in the early stages of the match, and even manages to deliver a Dropkick to her much taller opponent. But when Renee makes Vanessa mad, she finds out that the only thing more impressive than Vanessa’s ring outfit is her ability to inflict punishment. A two-handed lifting choke turns into a sitout Powerbomb, and this match becomes a beatdown that Renee will never forget.

From Surfboard submissions to Attitude Adjustments, Vanessa mops the mat with her inexperienced foe. To Renee’s credit, she refuses to stay down for the 3 count (or is that just Vanessa continuously picking her up at the 2 count?).

A Torture Rack turns out the lights on Renee and gives Vanessa the first fall. A Full Nelson makes her easy prey for a foot-on-the-chest three count for the second fall. After Suplexes, a Fisherman’s Suplex, a spinning Powerbomb, Vanessa shows her power with a vicious face-first slam that mercifully puts Renee down for the 3 count.

Vanessa offers words of encouragement to her fallen foe, telling her “You’ll do better next time.” But from the condition in which Vanessa leaves Renee, next time might be a long way away.
