Remember the old days when women’s pro wrestling on TV used to feature lengthy, technically proficient contests that featured actual wrestling? Those days live on in the form of matches like this. No chatting, no gimmicks, just straight up action as the women come out of their corners fighting. Intricate chain wrestling follows as armbars flow into Headlocks morphing into neckscissors as each athlete fights for the advantage. The skills on display are so impressive and equally matched that neither can get the upper-hand for a while, each meting out as much punishment as she takes.

Ultimately, it is Martinez’s experience and craftiness that proves to be Jen’s undoing as Mercedes breaks up a test of strength with a well placed kick, giving her an opening to lay into Blake as only she can. A torrent of abuse comes hailing down on the hapless Canadian as Mercedes works her over with kicks, punches, Clotheslines, knees to the throat and a variety of thunderous Suplexes. This is not to say that Blake rolls over for the beating–this incredibly competitive match goes back-and-forth to the end. One woman loses after being at the receiving end of a brutal Fisherman's Suplex but neither come out unscathed.
