SLAMpeg 5044: Ava Everett vs La Rosa Negra

There are few wrestlers out there like La Rosa, who can combine a solid mix of technical wrestling skills, a willingness to do absolutely anything to win, and a mean streak you don’t want to be on the wrong end of. La Rosa displays her willingness to do anything to win early in her match against Ava Everett when she sweeps Ava’s legs to drop her to the mat, then proceeds to bite Ava’s bare foot. The two work each other over on the canvas, trading Side Headlocks and headscissors as they grapple for position.

Ava manages to gain some momentum several times during the match, nailing La Rosa with several forearms blows, then nailing her with a running splash in the corner. But La Rosa always manages to stop Ava’s momentum, and regains control of the match with rope chokes and hair-chokes, throat thrusts, and corner beatdowns. She goes deep into the playbook and hits Ava with a classic belly-to-back Suplex and a Camel Clutch, then grinds her down with a two-handed nerve pinch.

Ava uses a Chinbreaker to escape and finally gets some sustained offense, delivering multiple whips into the corners followed by running splashes, then connects on a stunner for a 2 count. As the two continue to battle, one wrestler floors her opponent with a kick to the face and a legdrop, then follows it up with another classic … a 5 Star Frog Splash from the top rope to put this one away.
