SLAMpeg 3109: Thea Trinidad vs Chasyn Rance

No shortage of strong personalities in this one. Chasyn promises a lesson in “why he’s the absolute best.” Submission only, 2 out of 3 falls. Chasyn sets the tone with an outstretched hand, only to take it back before Thea can shake it.

Right out of the gate, Thea is roughed up by Chasyn’s Headlock, only to be scooped up and slammed to the mat. It’s early on, and Thea looks a little out of sorts, trapped in a Bearhug, slammed into the corner, and put into a Torture Rack. A Crossface hold, a couple of rope chokes, and a Figure 4 Headlock on the apron have Thea conceding the first fall.

Chasyn gives her “no breaks” and locks in a bodyscissor on the apron immediately. While things look bleak for Thea, it’s amazing how fast a match can turn around with a low blow. Chasyn finds himself with the ringpost a little too close for comfort and before he can respond Thea has a ringpost Figure Four Leglock cinched in. Though Chasyn doesn’t tap, Thea keeps the pressure on with the legwork. Thea remains calculating with a Sharpshooter and an Octopus hold, but ultimately makes Chasyn concede the second fall with a Figure Four Headscissor.

The third fall is up for grabs and things certainly do get brutal. One exhausted grappler taps and then verbally must admit defeat.
